傅冬霆-空间缝合之处
FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:
The work consists of a few extremely simple elements, the three-dimensional text „A Suture of Space“ suspended in virtual space, a computer-generated virtual light source, the shadows created by the light shining on the text, and the viewer traveling between the virtual space and the real space.
In the work, the virtual space and the real space overlap on one wall of the exhibition hall, and the artist acts as a surgeon to stitch the two spaces together and present them to the audience. The viewer has two perspectives on this suture of space: one, wearing a virtual reality headset and entering directly into the virtual space to view the light, text and shadow presented therein, while changing the position of the light therein; and two, looking through the naked eye in the queue to see the light and shadow projected by the text in the virtual space within the real space.
The two viewing perspectives allow the viewer to travel to and from the inside and outside of the trauma surface, yet both sides overlap in a unified space. This also allows the closed private virtual reality space to become an open public space, existing within the real space.
