This week’s Flashback brings us back to the year 1980 when a female-fronted band lead the US Billboard Charts with their 2nd of a total of 4 #1 songs. Meanwhile in Germany it was a Dutch group with a female singer (not to be confused with an American R&B group with a similar name) who scored their only #1 song in the country. And in the UK it was an Irish singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest on top.
