Winter weather strikes the Carolinas & the Gulf Coast

An “out of bounds” winter storm is coating parts of the Carolinas with dangerous rime ice, making for treacherous travel. Parts of the Gulf Coast are seeing wintry weather too with temperatures in the 30s as far south as the Mexican border.
