hummingBIRDs DREAM in Black & White

Hälts digital short begins in his family garden sanctuary, where a hummingbird is perched in a double flowering plum tree. I was imagining what a hummingbird might dream about. As we enter into the dreamtime, the colour format drifts into monochromatic. Hälts enters the frame and soon there after we travel into a forest dream sequence. The sequence ends with clouds filling the frame creating a black void. At the end of the sequence we return to a feeder where two hummingbirds interact with one another in black and white. This begs the question, who is the dreamer? Hälts or the hummingbird? The song is titled, ‚Earth Was Sung‘. The short was filmed in a variety of locations along the Columbia River, in the East Kootenay District of British Columbia, Canada. Copyright Hälts c.2022
