In this episode Kris visits the Horicon Marsh is a marsh located in northern Dodge and southern Fond du Lac counties of Wisconsin. It is the site of both a national and a state wildlife refuge. The silted-up glacial lake is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States. Elizabeth shows us around and also takes us on a virtual airboat ride that you can not miss.
Later, we stop at the Meating Place which is one of the best restaurants in the state. The owner’s, who also own Leroy’s meats, are award-winning butchers serving Dodge county for generations.
