FLASHBACK: 1981-10-17 / October 17th, 1981

This week’s FLASHBACK Video brings us back 41 years when the US Charts were led by a singer from Texas with his 2nd and final #1 in his homecountry. This one was assisted by a movie from the same year. Meanwhile in Germany it was a Dutch group who took a song from a Swiss and made it ‚fly‘ as their own. It came with a funny dance craze that nobody could escape of. And in the UK a male-female duet topped the charts with a cover of a song originally from 1963. It was the only #1 for both.
