#THRIFTED is a short documentary that delves into the world of thrifting and
second-hand shopping practices of young people in Melbourne, Australia. The
film follows its two creators Angel and Natasha as they embark on a journey
to Melbourne’s most iconic thrifting locations, including Brunswick street in
Fitzroy and Hunter Markets in Mentone. The film showcases how the
celebration of self-expression through fashion has organically addressed
financial and ecological concerns. It features commentary from its creators
and personal interviews with individuals who share the role that thrifting plays
in their lives. #THRIFTED offers an invitation to observe the unique and vibrant
spirit of a generation who unite style with conscious living.
