Latin Quarter nightclub 190s – 1960s & FESCH.TV:

This slideshow combines a variety of scenes from the Latin Quarter nightclub, New York City. 120mm and 35mm film negatives and black and white and color prints.

A Latin Quarter audition for the club’s impresario Lou Walters, choreographer Madame Komarova, and other creative crew. Art and fashion photographer Arthur Courtney Hafela documented this event. 

Backstage images were taken by photographers for programs and publicity.

Color slides of the Motor City Pool in New York City document a publicity event advertised as a water polo game between the Latin Quarter Showgirls and the Playboy Bunnies hosted by comedian Jack Durant.

This slideshow is part of the City Reliquary Museum & Civic Organization’s exhibit The Latin Quarter Revue: Behind the Curtain, which runs April 2023 through February 2024.
