MetamorphX – SICKY mag & FESCH.TV:

We are bored by realism. Dissatisfied with our nature. So, we created beings more human than human. Purposely distorted to become more than perfection. An unobtainable image. From verisimilitude, we move into a simulacrum of the hyperreal. This desire, to move beyond realism, seems fundamental to our existence – a shared biological instinct linking us inexorably to our ancestors.

‚MetamorphX‘ is a contemporary re-interpretation of Hellenistic sculptures exposing that the ideal human form was as manufactured in ancient times as it is in the present day. Physical perfection, as an absolute, has been subjugated by „magic measurements“ for centuries. These four characters relate to multiple facets of that complex perfection showcasing that our willingness to exaggerate is universal and human.
