Abruzzo is Italy’s little-known green gemstone.
From the wide and majestic mountainous valleys, nicknamed „The Little Tibet of Italy“, to the multi-colored pebbles and sand beaches, passing through green-coral river streams and ancient cave-monasteries set into thick forests, Abruzzo has lots of attractive assets.
While it is little inhabited, pretty isolated for most parts and often seems old-fashioned, it is yet located at a 2-hours drive from Roma, the capital city of Italy.
