Il video descrive la mostra virtuale a cura del corso ITS Fashion Archive and Heritage Management di AFOL Moda e ITS Cosmo.

I primi trent’anni del ventesimo secolo sono stati un periodo di grande cambiamento e un momento estremamente importante per l’emancipazione femminile, sia dal punto di vista dell’abbigliamento che da quello politico, sono infatti questi gli anni in cui in molte parti del mondo le donne acquisiscono per la prima volta il diritto di voto. La mostra online “Dressed for Change / Emancipation in Clothing and Society 1900-1930” mette in luce questa evoluzione attraverso una selezione di abiti e accessori originali, accompagnati da testi che descrivono da un lato il susseguirsi dei cambiamenti nella moda e dall’altro l’evoluzione del periodo storico, in particolare dal punto di vista del ruolo della donna nella società.

The first thirty years of the twentieth century was a period of great change and an extremely important time for the emancipation of women, both in the way of dressing and politically as, in many parts of the world, women won the right to vote. The online exhibition Dressed for Change / Emancipation in Clothing and Society 1900-1930 reflects these changes through the selected pieces, descriptions of the fashions of each stylistically different era and texts giving a brief synopsis of the historical period with particular attention to role of women in that period.
