Driven by a desire to INNOVATE SUSTAINABLE FASHION, the concept of ALGAE-INSPIRED FASHION focuses on creating cohesive and eco-friendly products by uniting FOOTWEAR, EYEWEAR, AND WATCH STRAP. The vision is to address material waste by using the same eco-conscious materials across all three items, ensuring both STYLE and FUNCTIONALITY. The idea originated in January 2024, when the sight of filamentous algae during a swim sparked inspiration. To bring this concept to life, scrap leather was sourced, capturing the algae’s texture. Through multiple iterations, a final product line emerged that skillfully combines scrap and fresh materials, demonstrating how nature can inspire impactful, sustainable fashion.
