Alimente Trancoso (Feed Trancoso)

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Humanity has no more basic act of care for others than assuring that all can eat.

When the Cavid-19 pandemic shut down global travel in March 2020, business owners in one tourism destination with a vulnerable population untied in a spontaneous campaign to keep food on tables of local families.

That project was AT – Alimente Trancoso, in the south of Bahia, Brazil, a tropical paradise whose economy was for much of 2020 totally decimated by a shut-down in tourism.

Over 7-months 5500 food parcels were delivered direct to the doors of local homes by brave volunteers known as ‚angels of the street‘.

A total of 127 tons of food, 61.000 personal hygiene and cleaning items reached those most in need.

In times of crisis sustainable communities don’t fracture, they unite.
