An Eye Popping Series of Events (FIT 2023 Thesis) & FESCH.TV:

May I present my senior project for the Animation Bachelor’s program I studied for at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

A high school teenager goes through a series of eyeballs floating around him after each embarrassment while on the way to a date with his girlfriend.

I began developing the story around the Summer of 2022 after thinking about how I normally grow anxious about how the people around me will perceive my actions. To twist it up, I thought of using the imagery of eyeballs as a personification of what catalyzes the anxiety that progressively increases throughout the short. I spent days between October to December of the same year fleshing out the story’s structure and developing an animatic. Moving forward to January 2023, I began finalizing the project. Unfortunately because of the tight schedule, I wasn’t able to fully finish the entire thing and when it was time to submit for the showcase in May of that year. This current version is what I’ve done so far.
