This proposal is taking place within the Powerhouse Museum, there’ll be a room that shaped and looks like a giant shoe box for this AR interaction. This is targeted towards people of all ages (man or woman) those are interested in footwear as well as learning the history of them. From this AR Experience, the user would be able to explore different shoes from Joseph Box Shoe Collection and try them on, which would let them experience the footwear of yesteryears on a fashion runway.

Before entering the room, the user will be able to choose the shoe from the collection by scanning the QR code. Inside the room, there’s a fashion runway stage in the middle and all the walls are LCD screens. The user would climb up the stairs and as they get on the stage, the motion tracking cameras will start to track the movements and display the chosen shoe on the user on the screens. And Joseph Box would appear on the wall as a projection and starts to introduce himself and tell the history of the shoes as he floats on the screens and lead the user to follow him around the room, on the stage.

From this experience, the audience would be able to ‘walk in someone’s shoes’ to create empathy for those who’ve worn them in the past and also letting them explore the history of them while doing a ramp walk on the fashion runway in an AR Experience!
