Udaipur – A City of 8 Lakes, numerous attractions & infinite stories to whoever visited!

Circa May – 2002, I was 10 by then & visited this City during my summer vacation with my family. Then it was not that much touristy famous as now (thanks to Social Media). Though weather was super warmth, we all were enjoying strolling around City like ardent tourists. I was totally blown away & never came across as any beautiful City as this one ever in my Life. After a week of sojourn, I completely fell in love with this City & I was not ready to go back to Mumbai. By that time, I promised myself to capture this city’s beauty through pictures in Kodak Camera (You can’t blame me for this as owning digital cameras was still fairy tale during that time) one day. After 20 years, equipped with iPhone; I travelled to Udaipur for the sake of my love for this City & capturing its charismatic, charming beauty & showcasing to The World like how I saw once during my childhood. That’s how I ended up making this Cinematic Travel Film about Venice of East – Udaipur!

You will never get bored of this city even it’s your eighth time. There are many places to roam around & many things to do like visiting iconic City Palace & getting lost in awe with its charismatic beauty, taking a boat ride on Lake Pichola & visiting a palace built over small island named Jagmandir along with that seeing city in different perspective, sitting idle & chatting during sunset or dusk around Ambrai Ghat & Gangour Ghat, cycling around Fateh Sagar Lake, hiking Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace for an astounding, aerial view of the City, immersing into spiritual vibes at Jagdish Temple or at Karni Mata Mandir, going on a nature trail along with bird watching in Saheliyon Ki Bari, getting lost in Udaipur’s ancient folklore at Bagore ki Haveli, visiting Bahubali Hills near Badi Lake for experiencing different flavour of this City, shopping traditional Rajasthani fabrics, leather items & other antiques near Bada Bazaar. There are tons of things to do around this City! I just loved it!

I also strived to capture & depict the lifestyle of locals who trades in art for running their kitchen & their everyday day-to-day life around this beautiful City. Locals add another dimensional vibe to any place around the world. They are my favorite aspect of travel.
