BFA+MFA 2021 Exhibition – A Look at the Interior Design Progra – FESCH.TV
FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:
In the third of our videos on the thesis projects by our graduating Class of 2021, Interior Design Assistant Professor Mohammad Suleiman talks to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Cherif Amor about the BFA+MFA 2021 exhibition, about how Interior Design is well-positioned at the intersections of behavioral sciences, art and design; and how online education has become more inclusive and accessible.
The video shows the amazing designs by the Interior Design graduates from the Class of 2021, which include a restaurant design for a pandemic affected era, compounds and housing for senior citizens, a women’s homeless center, a fashion design hub, community learning and rehabilitation centers, facilities for refugees from places such as Syria and Myanmar, and so much more.
“As students graduate from here, they should have a certain level of expertise and knowledge to be able to deal with the safety, health and wellbeing of inhabitants,” Mohammad explains.
The guest curator for the Interior Design section of the BFA+MFA 2021 exhibition was Virginia Lung, the award-winning founder of the One Plus Partnership, which has worked on designs for cinemas, food and beverage outlets, retail stores, clubhouses, and sales offices.
You can also go on a 360° virtual tour of the exhibition on our Gallery website, which you can find by clicking on this link
