Caulisious began as documentation on a series of textile designs I made in early 2023 for the annual student lead fashion show, Etobicoke Fashion Show. I knew the designs needed movement to show off their full intent so I invited some dancer friends to improvise and model in the designs instead of models. The magic of the movement and the chemistry of the dancers creates a vivid and sticking narrative, intense in emotion and woven perfectly with the intent of the fashion pieces themselves. Caulisious is only a trailer for a larger film. Collaborators and dancers Jahlaya LaFortune-Spencer and Nessie Hamilton.
