Dulong project international touring exhibition in Amsterdam

Over the past 7 years, naze naze and the local woman weavers have developed a unique partnership through textiles and sharing of ideas and anecdotes, the team would revisit the Dulong community every year and the exhibition/sharing continues in the future. Please stay tuned for naze naze’s coming tours as well as their future collaborations with the weaving community.

In 2015, with the design and technical support from the klee klee team, a division of the sustainable fashion brand in Shanghai, Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF) initiated the naze naze Dulong Project. It aims to protect, develop and present the unique weaving tradition of the Dulong people and the textiles made by the Dulong women. Taking social responsibility as its core mission, 100% of the profits are reinvested in local communities and the project‘s sustainable growth.

CHA x ART was very happy to have hosted naze naze’s touring exhibition in Amsterdam and that many people were able to stop by and walk into the weaving culture and community of Dulong people (the smallest ethnic group in China), in particular the beautiful textiles made by women weavers from the Dulong River Valley in southwestern China.
