Chinese Wisdo: Ziqi Donglai – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

The Oriental aesthetics, especially Chinese style is often misinterpreted by the West, especially in fashion week and luxury brand due to the rough understanding of Chinese culture. In fact, it is subtler and more sophisticated rooted in Chinese culture.

We decided to change this perception by interpreting one of the traditional Chinese wisdom from Lao Tzu. Ziqi Donglai is a famous Chinese idiom, translated as ‘the purple air coming from the east’, which is a symbol of good luck. It describes a purple breeze that proceeded Lao Tzu as he approached  Hangu Pass.

The branded video of Zilai Design integrates the colors and philosophy quotes with the Five Elements to present the modern Chinese aesthetics and culture creatively.

Five Elements: metal, wood, water, fire and earth, which make up the world.
Kong Ji Shi Bai: The emptiness is the same as the material form.
Yu Guo Tian Qing: After clouds, calm weather.
Zhi Bai Shou Hei: Know and observe all but stay obscure.
Jin Zhu Zhe Chi: Who close to cinnabar to be dyed in red.
Tian Xuan Di Huang: The sky is black, the earth is yellow and the universe is vast.
