CLT’s expansion and main terminal lobby renovation

If you travel in and out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, you don’t want to miss Tuesday’s presentation by Ben Goebel on CLT’s 370,000-square-foot expansion and main terminal lobby renovation.

Ben Goebel leads architecture firm Gresham Smith’s aviation studio in Charlotte. His experience includes design and project management for many complex airport terminal projects.

He will speak to us about the CLT project which includes:
• A soaring 150,000-square-foot curbside canopy that keeps both loading and unloading passengers protected from outside elements.
• Comfortable seating and new concessions incorporated with the statue of Queen Charlotte to create a relaxed meeting place.
• Environments to help reduce stress as well as security checkpoint changes for efficiencies in passenger processing.
