Consciously prioritising

My children have been gifted a piggy bank with 4 compartments, spend, save, donate and invest.

Now that they want to earn pocket money, I am going to let them decide which compartment. This leads on to adulthood and making conscious financial decisions. We all have objectives, but these can conflict, so we have to go one step further and prioritise our objectives and goals.

We can’t all want to send our children to private school and in the same breath travel the world annually – for some this is not a decision, but for the majority of us, we have to decide which objective is the priority.
