Cornell College’s M.F.A. in Creative Writing

Cornell’s two year M.F.A. program is ideal for you if you want to hone your literary writing skills without leaving your day-to-day life. In our low-residency program, you’ll complete most of your creative and critical work from your home base, wherever that might be. You’ll travel to Cornell’s campus for nine-day residencies to kick off each semester and as a final celebratory culmination at the end of the program.

Send your work to our faculty and get their experienced feedback. Gather with the faculty and your cohort of peers on the Hilltop five times over the course of your writing journey.

Work with published writers in fiction, literary nonfiction, and poetry. Applications accepted year-round.
