Danae & Dionysios – Shapeshifting Workshop

Through their practice, Danae & Dionysios aim at challenging the practitioners to gain better control of their bodies and minds. Beginning with a warm-up structured around their artistic vocabulary, participants will explore their own creativity based on tasks focusing mostly on the details of hands and their expressiveness, the connection of their feet to the ground and the ways information can travel from there to the upper body and arms, in order to achieve bigger volume in space.

As they experiment with various rhythmical patterns, they intend to bring awareness on how they choose to use them, in order to play with the body’s musicality. Together, they will also explore the foundations of their work with guides inspired by their choreographic research on nature, animals, indigenous people and their stories.

Most importantly, in relation to their practice, Danae & Dionysios desire to seed a thinking mind and motivate it to evolve in a conscious way.
