Dance for hope – Marielle

My whole life, I’ve been creating with my two hands and now it’s time for me to bring it to another level, create with my full body expression.
Since always, dancing is a Passion and more and more I want to bring this to my Reality.
I asked myself this question. Why do I love dancing?
My first answer is to connect with others. That’s the main reason why I decided to start this project. I truly see the importance of being of service to people and try to bring more positivity to this world.
I believe if I do this with my heart it can be very beneficial.
Also, it is the perfect moment for me as I’ve got the luxury of having Time and Freedom.
I see so many positive aspects of dancing freely and i want to be this spark that makes people feel comfortable enough to do it.
I feel there are not enough opportunities in everyday life to dance sober, in the day time, freely.
So I want to create this opportunity.
Our society pushes us to be formatted, follow the rules, follow what others do, follow dance moves (if you want to dance) and does not leave much room for personal growth, freedom, reconnect with our true self or others genuinely. I do believe that dance is innate.
We get so stuck into our brain and barely feel into the body and it’s usually this overthinking that makes things worst.
Current context:
With the coronavirus people life has been tilt up side down. It’s been creating more uncertainty in the Future. In fact, so many of us lost their jobs, lost their ability to work normally, had to start from fresh, are feeling disconnected from their family overseas, trapped (as they can’t travel or even go out of their home.)
This whole situation is increasing the level of mental health issues: more stress, depression, unsettling feeling, anxiety, disconnection with others, fear.
Indeed, it is hard to keep strong and positive.
Today, i truly believe that every single healer should double their effort, every community project that brings joy to people should be more than ever supported.

My ultimate goal is to share a dance with someone but if I can bring a smile onto people faces it’s also truly rewarding. Hopefully next time they will get inspired to join!

I’ve even had old people limping coming to share a dance as well as people from the street, it was so moving and special!
