Meet Latifa Al Gurg, Designer & founder of fashion label Twisted Roots.

Fashion has the power to alter perceptions, to inspire, to make statements, to change history.

Beginning her journey as an electrical engineer – a far cry from the meters of fabric she sifts through as CEO and Creative Director of her own fashion label – Latifa has built a fast growing contemporary fashion brand that is known throughout the region. Dressing the staff and volunteers at Expo 2020 is one her many achievements.

But, that achievement has not come without its setbacks. Setbacks that she believes have been crucial to her finding and forging her path. For without facing rejection and the feeling of dejection, she would not have found the inner driving force to her success.
