F430 Delivery Mileage and unregistered.

A unique opportunity to become the first registered keeper of a delivery mileage 2009 Ferrari F430.
This car is still brand new and wrapped up with only 80 miles on the odometer. Recently released from a large collection of similar delivery mileage unregistered cars at Ferrari. The car is a 2009 Ferrari F430 F1 in Rosso Corsa over Nero leather with Rosso stitching and Nero carpets. The carpets, steering wheel and stereo still have the Ferrari plastic protective covers on them and the floor mats in the boot have never even been opened.

The word ‘Unicorn’ is thrown around a lot nowadays when it comes to the world of collectors’ cars. It only really counts when the vehicle being discussed is something really special, however – you wouldn’t expect a Vauxhall Astra diesel to ever be described as rare as a mythical horned-horse now, would you?

More often than not, said subject has an insanely rare colour combination or was finished in a completely one-off hue, but now and then, something crops up that is so special that nothing less than using the ‘U-word’ will suffice. And if you’re looking for the perfect example of such a thing, look no further:

This Ferrari 430 may not be one of the ultra-collectible Scuderia or Challenge models, but it’s likely the best example in the world of what is fast becoming the next “cool” Ferrari. Finished in the brand’s signature Rosso Corsa, the outside is devoid of any of the extended skirts and larger grilles that denote the standard car from the more limited examples. Similarly, its lack of stripes or additional graphics give it the look that only the simplest of Maranello’s finest can pull off. It’s pure, classless and achingly cool.

But it just looks like a standard F430. What’s so special?” we hear you ask. Well, look inside, and you’ll see that it’s absolutely flawless Nero interior, complete with the desirable Daytona seats, appears to wear a layer of plastic upon the carpets and fascias. Those innocuous pieces of plastic are the original protective sheets used in transit, applied at the factory, and destined to be removed at PDI. You see, the reason this particularly humble F430 can boast of being a true Unicorn is that it has covered just 78 miles. This is a true delivery mileage car.

The story goes that this particular car was ordered, as with any of the company’s steeds, by Ferrari Malaysia, back in 2008. For reasons unknown to us, the purchaser never took delivery of the car, and it sat with them from 2009 until 2019, when the current London-based owner brought it back to the UK, whereupon it was fastidiously checked over. Since arriving in the UK, it has only left the comfort of its heated garage to travel to its local Ferrari agent, Maranello in Egham, for a full service to be performed. December 2021 saw this F430 undergo an oil and filter change, along with the fitment of new air filters, a full brake fluid change and have a brand-new battery fitted.

With values of these cars already beginning to climb, this car provides a unique opportunity to purchase what is probably the lowest mileage example on the planet. As an unregistered car with a fully documented Ferrari history, this F430 would form the jewel of any Ferrari collection, and will undoubtedly be an excellent investment opportunity, with it highly unlikely that car of this provenance and calibre will appear on the market in the future.
