FLASHBACK: 1980-11-22 / November 22nd, 1980

This week’s FLASHBACK video brings us back 42 years when the UK Charts were led by a female-fronted rock group from the USA with their 5th #1 song already in the country. They added one more very many years later. Meanwhile in the USA it was a singer from Texas with his first of two #1 songs in his homecountry. Unfortunately he passed away over 2 years ago. And in Germany it was a homeborn Schlager singer with his only #1 song in the country. This was a cover of an original Italian song that also charted that week in the chart.
