FLASHBACK: 1989-02-19 / 19th February, 1989

This week’s Flashback Video brings us back 33 years when the UK Charts were led by a Scottish band with their first and only #1 song in this country. Meanwhile in the USA a former dancer and choreographer (e.g. for The Jacksons and Janet Jackson) scored her very first #1 song. It started a run of 6 consecutive #1 singles in her homecountry. And in Germany an American songstress reached the top spot thanks to the advert for a famous soft drink. It was her only charttopper in the country.
