FLASHBACK: 1996-06-01 / June 1st, 1996

This week’s Flashback Video brings us back 26 years when the German Charts were led by a pop megastar from the US with his 2nd and final #1 song in the country. Unfortunately he passed away 13 years ago. Meanwhile in the UK it was a collab of a British comedy duo with an Alternative group and a song to support their country in the upcoming European championships on home soil. It was their first of 2 #1 singles altogether (and this one also topped the charts 22 years later). Plus: You can also see which was the last Eurovision entry for the UK that was more successful than Sam Ryder. And in the USA it was a hip-hop group with their only charttopper.
