The summer of 2021 has been nothing but devastating to multiple communities in Northern California because of the raging, uncontrolled forest fires. Especially poignant to this creator, the town of Greenville, California in Plumas County was decimated on August 4th. As these fires continue to rage, the immense smoke plumes generated by these monsters drifted into the Northern Nevada region. On August 23rd and 24th, the air quality conditions deteriorated to a point in which Washoe County declared its first-ever air quality emergency. Schools were cancelled, and residents advised to remain indoors. Scott Chandler Productions captured the scene from the air above various downtown Reno landmarks in this 4-minute video.
