How We make Rakija in Bosnia and Herzegovina

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

In this video, we’ll take a look at how rakija is made in Bosnia. Rakija is a deeply rooted tradition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there are many different types of rakija depending on where you are in the country.

We drop by Tamara’s uncle’s and aunt’s place in the village of Slatina, where, together with their neighbours, they are distilling apples, pears and plums into Rakija, the traditional way.

This video is a great way to learn about the history and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Thanks for watching!

This channel is all about living in the western Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina in particular.

My videos are about my life, as a stranac (stranger) in the country so a sort of journal of culture, food, traditions and travel.

We create content as well through our blog at with lots of updates there as well.
