Four friends become strangers to one another’s lives due to distance and the impact of COVID-19. This film gives a window into everyone’s life, drawing great contrasts between their daily activities, life events and travel. The conflicting sound, pace and visuals contribute towards a confusing, yet stimulating viewing experience; again, emphasising how independent these friends have become. That being said, there are few moments where each window syncs up, creating a distant feeling of unison. Though they have become strangers to each other’s lives, they still undergo similar activities. The impact of being away from each other for two years has resulted in them growing apart; especially as they are at an age of growth, development, and maturity. The isolation from each other’s company as they face seeing each other again reminds them of how much has changed, prompting each to think: “I’m a stranger here myself”.
