Bruce Dorn
Bruce Dorn is a top tier photographer, filmmaker, and educator. After beginning his career in New York City as a fashion, editorial, and advertising photographer, Bruce relocated to Hollywood where he had immediate success as a director/cameraman and was inducted into the Directors Guild of America. Known for his high-risk photography and cinematography, Bruce is active in the outdoor adventure community as well. As the senior photographer of The Overland Journal, and the senior cinematographer on the record-setting multiyear adventure, Expeditions7, Bruce has circumnavigated the planet’s harshest places by four-wheel drive.A pioneer digital mixed-media artist, Bruce has been the recipient of the Kodak Professional Innovators Award and Corel has awarded him with the rank of Corel Painter® Master. Bruce’s photographic explorations of the New West were rewarded with an Artist in Residence exhibition during the Ansel Adams Retrospective at The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians. In Ballistic Publishing’s digital art competition, “Painter: World’s Best Painter Art”, Bruce’s neo-classical ballet imagery earned the Gold for Best Portrait.Bruce is a Canon Explorer of Light, Light & Motion Ambassador, WD Creative Master, a member of the SanDisk Extreme Team, the Adobe Dream Team, a Tiffen Steadicam Pro, and a Corel Painter Master.
