Is there a lace for fine dining in the future? – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

A couple of times I heard this statement from millennials who work in the hospitality industry. They were announcing this statement almost solemnly, probably with belief that something better will take its place. Even though I am also a millennial, I must admit that hearing this almost breaks my heart as passionate hospitality professional.

Fine Dining was predicted to extinct already a couple of times in history. Lockdown also has absolutely Influenced dining habits. First, we became better home cooks. Then, take-away boomed to save the restaurant industry.

Yes, even Daniel Boulud, a great French chef, commented in 2020 that fine dining will become fine eating, meaning more “provincial” menu and a casual environment. But it does not mean extinction. It is more like fine dining needs to metamorphose.

However, I personally think that fine dining will never die. Has classic music died after rock-n-roll was invented? No, it took its niche. The same as classical music, literature, high fashion, art, and other parts of elite culture, fine dining will take its niche in the cultural life of future society.

At WIPS Worldwide International Placement Services, our boutique recruitment agency with over 33 years of experience, we believe in the bright future of fine dining with a modern twist. And what do you think about it?
