This is a tape I did where I got the eyeline wrong. For most of the time you can’t see the face in full profile. It’s a learning that acting is not removed from the technicalities of capturing it in film.

One of the actors in South India told me that it’s very important for the actor to learn about lenses, so that just looking at the lens we can figure out the framing and adjust the physicality accordingly. I found that a valuable piece of advice. (FYI – the longer the lens the closer the frame is to you/ your face)

I also found the technical terms used in this tape challenging and it needed much practice. Ultimately it’s a show of skill – I mean that of the surgeon and the kind of tensions that need to be played, say, while performing a surgical procedure.
