This summer I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to southern Italy and reach Santa Maria di Leuca, in the southernmost cape of Puglia: a place where the wild lands of Salento meet two seas and where Mediterranean cultures and civilizations have flourished and allow us, now as then, to enjoy the natural beauty and clear waters of the Ionian and Adriatic seas together in one fell swoop.
