Amhara region, north of Ethiopia. A rural area near the war zone of Tigray. Illegal migration is a big issue here: thousands of young people flee in search of better living conditions in Arabic countries. Saudi Arabia hosts around 400.000 Ethiopians with no papers and no rights, most of them girls and women. They work as maids for rich Saudi families in slavery conditions, for a miserable salary and one day off per month. Nevertheless, many girls still decide to travel abroad and face the hazardous trip that crosses troubled Yemen, one ocean, and two deserts.
