Why Not Just Share Photos on Social Media?

It’s a good question and our new Ponga Tips page has an article about just that. Interested?

Pick your platform. They can be great, and a fun way to stay in touch with family and friends, so why not just use them to share family stories?

Well, there ARE some good reasons to be cautious about what you share. We’ve got a tip about that in our new ponga.com/tips section.

As families, we want very much to share our stories with our families. They teach values, bolster confidence, and can convey love in a very personal way.

Also, there’s context. The story you share at the town square is hardly the same as the one you share on the sofa at home.

Another challenge with using social media to share these kinds of stories is that it’s SO easy to dip into details that inadvertently compromise privacy and put our vulnerable elders in jeopardy for identity theft and more.

At Ponga, we set out to create a way to share these stories yet ensure that the conversations that start private — stay private. Your original stories and the context you add are protected too.
