River House Ruins AYL2005
FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:
On this week’s episode, Kevin and Gina explore River House Ruins offroad trail outside Blanding. Spectacular views, red rocks, wildflowers and of course, amazing ruins of dwellings that were occupied by the Ancestral Puebloans sometime between 900 and the late 1,200s!
The River House site is home to a variety of rock structures, art, petroglyphs and other artifacts that have remained in place for decades so please respect the area by leaving no trace and stay out of the ruins themselves.
Base camp is Blanding where there is a Native American history museum and all the amenities you need for a wonderful weekend stay!
In our “Where To,” we hit the Rockwood Trail in Richfield to explore some offroad adventures, sandstone rocks, cedars and quaking aspen on trail number 4 that leads into the Fishlake National Forest. With direct access to the Paiute Trail, the real star of this family-friendly trail is dem colors — the colors of fall!
Chad is at Steadmans to review the Fantic electric bike in this week’s “What’s New.” This 10-speed bike features Rockshox, an uber-comfortable adjustable seat and naturally, the power assist you love.
In our “Along the Way,” we head out on the Poison Spider Trail in Moab for a 9/11 tribute on the rocks with Utah Off-Road. This group wanted to honor our nation and the brave first responders who gave their lives on the 20th anniversary of that fateful day. They replaced a tattered American flag with a new one, remembering those who were lost and expressing their love of this great country.
