Rockin‘ & Wobblin‘ at the Waterfront
FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:
Enjoy a timelapse of the Seattle waterfront as seen from the floating dock at the recently redeveloped Pier 62. This particular timelapse is unusual and entertaining because of the optical effect that has been produced due to where the camera and tripod were resting on the floating dock, which was rocking and wobbling intermittently during the 90 minutes of recording. As a result, it looks as though the entire landscape is rocking and wobbling (or even experiencing an earthquake!) whereas it’s the floating dock that’s frequently moving on the surface of the waters of Elliott Bay. The speed of the timelapse significantly emphasizes the movement of the floating dock in this video, but visually communicates (falsely) that it’s perfectly still.
