El Salar de Uyuni, en medio de los Andes en el sur de Bolivia, es la salina más grande del mundo. Es el legado de un lago prehistórico que se secó y dejó un paisaje desértico de casi 11,000 km cuadrados de sal blanca brillante, formaciones rocosas e islas con cactus. Su mística extensión se puede observar desde la isla central Incahuasi.

The Salar of Uyuni, in the middle of the Andes in southern Bolivia, is the largest saline in the world. It is the legacy of a prehistoric lake that dried up and left a desert landscape of almost 11,000 square kilometers of bright white salt, rock formations and islands with cacti. Its statistical extension can be observed from the central Incahuasi island.
