Sinopsis:
A sus casi cuarenta años, dos primos hermanos se internan en un viaje al campo en la Provincia de Buenos Aires empujados por el trasfondo familiar que los une: son nietos de sobrevivientes del Holocausto. El abuelo en común, la figura patriarcal de la familia, tuvo cuatro hijas nacidas en Varsovia, París y Buenos Aires, entre ellas sus madres.

Luego de dos generaciones desde la inmigración a Argentina, Adrián y Martín viajan para reponer vacíos. Se interrogan sobre la vida, el destino, los miedos, las heridas, e ideas de formar familias propias. Crean una situación alejada de lo urbano buscando raíces interrumpidas a través de diálogos y rituales que reasignan sentido a tradiciones y sentimientos. Confirman que lo único real en las versiones de la historia es la experiencia de vivirlas.

“Salomón” es un documental de exploración narrativa y discursiva. Es el registro de un reencuentro familiar, a la vez que una pesquisa por densas capas de pasado. Mientras los protagonistas se ocupan de búsquedas que duran toda una vida este viaje les develará que, en algún punto, son más hermanos que primos hermanos.

Synopsis
About to turn forty, two cousins decide to travel to Buenos Aires province, especially to the countryside, motivated by a common family background: their grandparents survived the Holocaust. The grandfather they have in common, the family’s patriarchal figure, had four daughters in three different cities: Warsaw, Paris and Buenos Aires. Their mothers are two of them.

Belonging to the second generation of Argentines, ever since their ancestors immigrated to Argentina, Adrián and Martín start this trip for the purpose of filling some voids. They meditate about life, destiny, fears, emotional wounds and their idea to start their own families. They get away from the noise of the urban world in order to search for gnarled roots, having profound conversations and performing rituals, which give traditions a new meaning and feelings they already had. They confirm that the truth in the versions of history they have been told only lies in the experience of having been through them.

“Salomon” is a documentary based on narratives and reflections. It is the register of a family reunion, and a quest through dense past layers. While the protagonists are in a life-time quest, in this particular trip, they will realize that, to some extent, they more like brothers rather than cousins.
