The COVID crisis hits London. Leo and his frightened family cross the English Channel by ferry at the same time the border closes and France enters a strict lockdown.

Synopsis
This film tells Leo’s personal experience.
In the second week of March 2020, when the pandemic was clearly progressing in London, Leo’s family saw no alternative but to pack their bags and leave. Within two hours, the whole family decided to travel to France and find refuge from the uncontrollable situation in the UK.
The healthcare system was already collapsing, protective gear for nurses and staff was insufficient and no tests were available. Schools were also open and children were forced to attend classes without protection or insurance.
The situation was really chaotic, and the lack of answers was intimidating. The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave a speech encouraging everyone to follow the herd immunity approach and said we should be prepared to watch our loved ones die.
That night, Leo and his family took a ferry across the Channel, unaware that the borders were closing at the same time.
Since the first wave of the pandemic, Leo remains in France.
