Sr. High Venture Mission Trip Parent Meeting

This year we are going back to Inez, Kentucky for the second year in a row with Appalachia Reach Out. We will again be joining Caledonia Christian Reformed Church’s student ministry on this mission trip. We will be taking 22 students and 6 leaders with us. 
The six leaders are; Mitchell Leach, Mendy Hoekstra, Jeff, and Tani Brower, and Troy and Jodie DeHoop.

We have had a relationship with ARO — as a church — for many years, and it has been wonderful to continue the many people’s work that has gone before us.

Plan on being at HRC on Saturday, June 25th at 5:30 am. We will have snacks, and other goodies ready for “breakfast.” The vans will be leaving at 6:00 am, but in order to pack, pray, and leave on time, we need everyone there by 5:30 am.

We will stop for lunch in Ohio. Students will need enough money for three meals as we travel.

We are planning on sleeping at Haven of Rest with Caledonia.
What can you bring in the vans?
In the vans, you can bring a personal bag (think of an airplane).
Banana Boxes
The rest of your stuff needs to fit in a banana box, (your sleeping bag and pillow can go in a different bag).
Phones
Phones will be allowed but they aren’t going to be allowed in the vans on the way down. Nor will students have access to them during the day. We will allow a one-hour window at night for them to have, but we are going to be focusing on other things this week.

Facilitate a VBS
New stairs at King Fisher Park
New wood flooring
Other house projects (if needed)
