Larry Batiste’s career in the entertainment industry spans over 40 years. He has worked with some of the most successful new, and legendary artists of all time. Batiste, best known for musical directing at the GRAMMY Awards and the TEC Awards at NAMM, has a natural talent for understanding and working in all genres of music.
His recording career started with the group Bill Summers & Summers Heat in 1979. He co-wrote and produced four albums along with Claytoven Richardson and Bill Summers, including the group’s top ten hit singles, “Call It What You Want”, “Jam the Box”, and “At the Concert”. After a few years of recording and touring with Summer’s Heat, he went on to work with various multi-genre artists including Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton, The Dazz Band, Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Patti Austin, The Stylistics, Lenny Williams, Huey Lewis & The News, Ledisi, Mickey Thomas, Pete Townshend, Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, Young Jeezy, Keyshia Cole, Santana, Yolanda Adams, Trombone Shorty, and Hugh
Masekela. As a vocalist, he’s lent his voice to The Magical World of Disney (theme song),
NBA Warriors’ Basketball theme, California Raisins (“I Heard It Through The Grapevine”), Wendy’s Restaurants, Sims (PlayStation), LeapFrog Education; and the films, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Stuart Little, Snow Dogs, Rent (contractor), and over 500 recordings and commercials.
“I want to make life better for youth and creators of music,” says Batiste, who is very active in community service as a volunteer, educator, and youth mentor. He is a current National Trustee, former San Francisco Chapter President, and Lifetime Member of The Recording Academy (producers of The Grammy Awards).

Kelly Armstrong has more than 25 years of experience in public relations and image consulting. As the founder of Artist Development/Imagemaking, Armstrong enjoys helping people “be their best, by looking and feeling their best” in body and spirit by giving advice about skincare, makeup, grooming, overall personal appearance, presentation skills, and job readiness training, she also teaches Image Consulting at City College of San Francisco. Armstrong has worked with KKSF Radio, partnered with the Plant Recording Studio and stores like Wilkes Bashford, she has dressed artists for album covers and videos she has freelanced as a makeup artist with clients that included CBS 5 (KPIX), San Francisco’s Mayor Willie Brown, and taught makeup classes through CCSF Extended Education Program. Faz Restaurants, Marriott Marquis Hotel, Chevron, Renaissance Entrepreneurial Center, Independent Living, Brookside Hospital, and San Francisco Unified School District, and others have also benefited from Armstrong’s public relations and image consulting expertise.
Working in the underserved Bayview Hunter’s Point neighborhood in San Francisco, Armstrong is the Founder of the Primed & Prepped: A Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Mentoring and Job Training Program at the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA. The purpose of the program is to help mitigate the barriers to employment for young males and females of color. Formerly on San Francisco State University’s Hospitality Management Advisory Board, she chaired the PR Committee, she was a part of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) with SAE Expression Media College. Armstrong has previously served as a Board of Governors with the Recording Academy, she created and co-chaired the Urban Outreach Committee of the Recording Academy (a.k.a. The Grammys) and she was an inaugural member of KQED’s Community Advisory Panel. She has volunteered with The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI). Armstrong is married, resides in San Francisco, and has a passion for food, fashion, and music.
