„Under the artistic direction of Dorian Tarantini and Matteo Mena, the identity of Borbonese continues to expand in a multiplication of possibilities. At the core, a glamorous sense of elegance persists. The desire to create aspiration, and to seduce, is condensed precisely in the idea of the club: an exclusive and private place, which can be accessed by those in the know or, simply, by the curious. The door, in fact, is always open.
The Borbonese Supper Club is hosted, once again, at Palazzo Confalonieri. It sits on the main floor, which has been transfigured by curtains, geometric elements and a neon sign that have the warm colors and liquid feeling of a piece of glass art: mustard, tabasco, chocolate. In this nocturnal and seductive, sensual and enveloping environment, a bit Venetian palace and a bit private room, the collection, which comes in the same colors with forest green accents, thus melting with the scene and asking to be discovered up close, immediately reveals a snappy, fresh spirit, and a lively variety of characters. Leather is the protagonist, brushed and cut into large lozenges held by small metal screws on A-line coats, trapeze dresses, mini-skirts. Silhouettes are graphic; the body is revealed, but always covered: with printed tights and thigh-high boots. Archetypal garments – the trench coat, the blouson, the duffle coat, the dress, the mini and longuette skirt, the brassiere top – are reinterpreted in a Borbonese way, in a mix of brushed leathers, OP, and basket and butterfly prints culled from archive scarves. Even the oversized glasses are shaped like butterflies. The mix of elements creates a prismatic contrast of sharpness and softness. The same dialogue of curves and straight lines, of softness and firmness, continues in the bags. Here too leather is the protagonist, cut into the precise and sculptural shapes of Quarter, with the graphic lines underlined by metal screws on the bucket and shopper styles. Époque, on the other hand, is firm in design yet curved and sinuous, while a large metal disc characterizes 011, marking soft and tactile shapes with an oversized detail. Cortina is also soft, with the iconic magnetic closure. The Borbonese language expands in the choice of materials and possibilities of use, dialoguing with a new and transversal audience. In the variety of proposals, an incisive, graphic spirit is affirmed, with the tactile sensuality that is the Borbonese signature.“

„Sotto la direzione artistica di Dorian Tarantini e Matteo Mena, l’identità di Borbonese continua a esplorare sfaccettature, a moltiplicare declinazioni e possibilità. Sullo sfondo, costante e cangiante, un glamouroso senso di eleganza, una seducente rarefazione. Il desiderio di creare aspirazione, e di sedurre, si condensa proprio nell’idea del club: luogo esclusivo, privato, cui si accede se si sa e si conosce, o anche solo se si è curiosi. La porta, infatti, è aperta.
Il Supper Club di Borbonese è ospitato, di nuovo, a Palazzo Confalonieri. Al piano nobile, trasfigurato da tende, elementi geometrici e un’insegna al neon che hanno i colori caldi e i sentori liquidi di un pezzo di glass art: senape, tabasco, cioccolato. In questo ambiente notturno e seducente, sensuale e avvolgente, tra palazzo veneziano e privè, la collezione, percorsa dalla stessa palette con accenti di verde bosco, mimetizzata con la scena e quindi da scoprire avvicinandosi, rivela d’acchito uno spirito scattante, fresco, dinamico, e una vivace varietà di caratteri. Protagonista è la pelle: lucida, tagliata in grandi losanghe fermate da piccole viti metalliche su cappottini dalla linea ad A, abiti a trapezio, mini. Le silhouette sono grafiche; il corpo è in evidenza, ma sempre coperto: da calzamaglie stampate o altissimi stivali. Capi archetipi – il trench, il piccolo blouson, il montgomery, l’abito, la mini e la gonna longuette, il top brassiere – sono riletti in chiave Borbonese, in un mescolarsi e contrapporsi di pelli abrasivate, OP, e stampe canestro e farfalle provenienti da foulard d’archivio. Sono sagomati come farfalle anche gli occhiali oversize. Il mix di elementi crea un prismatico contrapporsi di nettezza e morbidezza. Lo stesso dialogo di curve e di rette, di morbidezza e fermezza, prosegue nelle borse. Anche qui la pelle è protagonista, tagliata nelle forme precise e scultoree di Quarter, con il grafismo degli intagli sottolineato dalle viti metalliche su secchielli e shopper. Il design di Époque, invece, è fermo ma curvo e sinuoso, mentre un grande disco metallico caratterizza 011, segnando come un dettaglio oversize modelli dall’aspetto soft e tattile. È morbida anche Cortina, con l’iconica chiusura magnetica. Il linguaggio Borbonese si amplia di materiali e di possibilità, dialogando con un nuovo e trasversale uditorio. Nella varietà delle proposte, si afferma uno spirito incisivo, grafico, con la sensualità materica che di Borbonese è la sigla.“
