This is a short documentary on a pub restaurant which shows how relentless and non-stop working in a kitchen is. It’s inspired by Vertov’s „Man with a Movie Camera“ in the way that it shows work in a very rhythmic fashion. It also uses extreme close ups which „Man with a Movie Camera“ pioneered. In fact, the film is mostly made up of close ups to show the work up close and so that the relentlessness cannot be ignored. The film’s goal is to capture the cyclical nature of work and show that just as one job is finished another one comes around.
