The Memory Loom Ensemble- Dilmano Dilbero

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

The Memory Loom Ensemble is a group of female identifying singers that explore songs of lineage, ancestry and place through traditional song and improvisation.

The project emerged out of a deep longing Jeunae Rogers had (curator and song leader) to explore ways to connecting with selfhood, kinship, community, nature and the cosmos as singers and women of the diaspora.

This song Dilmano Dilbero is a traditional Bulgarian song and was taught to me by Reni Boyilov- who is an exceptional Bulgarian singer. I feel deep gratitude to all the song carriers that have shared song with me over this life.

This snippet was from #1 The Memory Loom Ensemble’s end of term concert held at Noosa Pengari Steiner School 2021 in Doonan, Sunshine Coast on Kabi Kabi Country.

The Memory Loom Ensemble gathered for eight consecutive weeks before this end of term concert.
