****The Trojan Women Project, Directed by Rachel Hynes, Devised by Rachel Hynes and the ensemble.
The Trojan Women Project is a devised adaptation of Euripedes‘ The Trojan Women, devised by Rachel Hynes and the ensemble. We transpose this Greek classic to a gentrifying street in Washington DC, where the residents discuss whether or not women are winners or losers in the American Dream.
This clip is the opening section of the show, showing a timelines of “women’s” history from the ancient Greeks to the 21st century, with a fashion show of American women.

***LadyM, devised by Rachel Hynes, Anastasia Wilson and Francesca Chilcote
Double, double, toil and…tampons?
An absurd comedy from the minds of menstruators, inspired by witches, banshees, shrews, power-suits, internet trolls, and all others with blood on their hands.
Based on interviews with DC menstruators about their attitudes toward menstruation, LadyM pits these stories against the themes, characters, and language in Shakespeare’s Macbeth to explore blood, ambition, sorcery as power, and violence. Delving into the deep, dark, and bloody traditions of menstruators stigmatized bodies, we push these difficult issues through the lens of grotesque comedy in this highly stylized, absurdist, and radical bloodbath.
